Environmentally Friendly Products

Construction is a complex process. A successful supplier to the construction industry needs to be able to provide a high level of specialist, technical support to its customers. The current issues relating to sustainability in the built environment are themselves extremely challenging.

eviee has been created by SIG plc, the largest specialist supplier of building products in Europe, having recognised the need for this specialist service, specification support and product guidance role within the industry.

We bring together, for the first time, a range of environmentally friendly products to assist the construction professional and the homeowner in achieving sustainability in their projects. This is not a static process and neither is our product range. Developments to existing products, combined with innovations in new products will drive us forward.

It is important to remember that products offering sustainable solutions are continually evolving, their efficiencies improving on an almost daily basis. At eviee we are continuously monitoring these developments to ensure that the most up to date information and products are made available to you.

The Four R’s. How products become eviee recognised.

 For a product to be included in our range it must satisfy as a minimum one of the following criteria:

Reduce
In its life cycle it must reduce through effective management, the consumption and risk associated with energy and water.

Replace
The product must provide a viable alternative to an existing solution by decreasing its negative environmental impact and / or increasing the sustainable performance of a building.

Re-use
The product should be re-useable and / or facilitate the re-use of a product or natural resource.

Recycle
The product must contain a high percentage of recycled material and / or be recyclable.

Underpinning our four R criteria, our manufacturing partners must be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to a proactive Corporate Responsibility (CR) programme within their companies
